This article aims to analyze the relationship between technological training, the adoption of advanced management practices, and the occupational mobility of graduates. It seeks to answer to what extent technological training equips professionals to use and implement these practices and whether this increases their chances of occupational promotion. Data were collected through electronic questionnaires administered to alumni who graduated between 2016 and 2024 from a public technological education institution in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The use of five contemporary management practices before and after graduation was analyzed. Then, the association between the adoption of these practices and the occurrence of promotions was examined using descriptive statistics and binary logistic regression. The results indicate low incorporation of these practices before graduation and a significant increase after course completion, particularly for data-driven management/BI. While this is a preliminary and exploratory analysis, the evidence suggests a positive association between the use of advanced management practices and a higher probability of promotion, but without definitive proof of causal relationships. These indications point to the need for more in-depth and robust testing.Downloads
